rotary-wheel1The Rotary Club of Saratoga is part of Rotary International, an international humanitarian organization with over 1.2 million members from over 34,300 clubs in 160 countries.

Saratoga Rotary, chartered in 1955, currently has about 120 members, both men and women, from the greater Saratoga area. Rotary aims to achieve a vocational cross section of the community drawn from those in managerial or professional positions. Among the many vocations represented within our club are realty, insurance, law, electronics, community leaders, photography, engineering, architecture, medicine, dentistry, chiropracty, publishing, investments and retail.

Our major fundraiser is the renowned Saratoga Rotary Art Show which has become a Bay Area institution since its founding in 1957, just two years after the club was formed. The proceeds are distributed by the Saratoga Rotary Charitable Foundation to many worthwhile philanthropies, schools, senior centers, charities and service projects both locally and internally. The Art Show and the proceeds it has generated has permitted  the Saratoga Rotary Charitable Foundation to distribute in excess of $2.5 million to worthy non-profit organizations. For details on some of the recent projects funded, and how to apply for a grant, please see our “Beneficiaries” page.

Our members have served as majors, city council members and city commission members. We are proud that, over the years, five of our members have been recognized as Citizen of the Year.

Please Join Us!

We are always seeking new members who have an interest in community service (both local and international). As articulated by our founder, Paul Harris, in 1905, the primary focus of our organization is “Service Above Self.”

If varied charitable activities interest you and you enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie of purposeful, committed, fun-loving people, please talk to a member, check out our website at or join us for lunch – we meet most Fridays at midday at the Joan Pisani Community Center at 19655 Allendale Avenue, Saratoga.
