Kid’s Corner: Saratoga Rotary Supports S.T.E.A.M. in our Schools! (map)

Saturday

Emily McQueen, will provide a makerspace for kids to build their creative confidence by making things from scratch. Artists, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs all have creative confidence. They are confident they can create something from scratch and they push through obstacles to get there. Kids practice this and other S.T.E.A.M. (science – technology – engineering – art – math) related activities in the makerspace and have a lot of fun in the process.

Sunday

Play-Well TEKnologies, strives to build problem-solving skills, provide an opportunity for creative expression, foster a greater appreciation of how things work, and encourage the qualities of inquisitiveness, self reliance, and self confidence in children.  They use LEGOS  for fun-filled engineering and architectural projects, activities that both the children and the instructors enjoy!
